Frequently asked questions submitted by our visitors:

  • Do all multiple-choice questions have only one answer?
    Most multiple-choice questions will only have one correct answer, but some will have more than one.
  • Can you have audio voice over on the test?
    Yes, but the questions will still be written and you would need to select the correct answers.
  • Can you take the CSCS test online instead of going to a test centre?
    No, the test can only be taken in a test centre.
  • How long is the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment test valid for?
    Your pass certificate will be valid for two years.
  • I've passed my CSCS test but I haven't got an employer to sign the form (section C). How do I get my card?
    You should still be able to get a card even in this case. Please contact CITB for further information.
  • I have a reading difficulty; can I still take the test?
    If you have dyslexia or any similar disability, you can ask for extra time or assistance when you are booking your test.
  • Can the CSCS test certificate be renewed?
    No, you must retake the test.
  • What is the minimum legal age to take the test?
    You need to be at least 16 years old to take the CSCS test.
  • What is the cost of the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment test?
    From 18th of June 2018 the cost will increase to £21.00.
